RULES & POLICIES
REGISTRATION

Applicants must submit their entries only via the website/ticketing site. No individual/group is authorized to collect entries on behalf of Enduro Sports Goa. Registrations close on 31st October 2026 or till all available slots are filled, whichever comes first.

Each participant may take part in ONLY one long distance race per day. Those interested may participate in a long distance race as well as the 250 m splash and dash swim - however, the participant must ensure they complete the long distance race before the race briefing of the 250 m splash and dash swim.

At the time of registration, athletes must select one of three competition categories: Male, Female or Open+. Athletes selecting Open+ must confirm their eligibility through a self-declaration at the time of registration.

The Open+ self-declaration will read: “I confirm that I meet the eligibility requirements for Open+ and understand that it is not available to cisgender male or female athletes as an alternative competition category. I understand that deliberate misrepresentation of category eligibility may result in removal from rankings or awards.”

Competition Category Eligibility and Misrepresentation

Athletes are required to select their competition category truthfully and in accordance with the published eligibility criteria.

The Open+ category is not available to cisgender male or female athletes seeking an alternative competition category or a competitive advantage.

Deliberate misrepresentation of competition-category eligibility may result in removal from category rankings, withdrawal of awards or disqualification from the event, in accordance with the event's registration rules and eligibility review procedure.

Competition-category eligibility will not be assessed on the basis of an athlete's physical appearance, voice, clothing, name or perceived gender expression.

Enduro Sports Goa will not require medical records, hormone reports, surgical history or information regarding stage of transition to determine Open+ eligibility.

Any genuine eligibility concern will be reviewed privately by designated Enduro Sports Goa officials. Other participants are not entitled to request or receive information regarding an athlete's identity or medical history.

Unsubstantiated or discriminatory challenges to another athlete's eligibility will not be entertained.

Participation in the event is subject to entry confirmation via email to the address provided in the registration form. Confirmed athlete’s identity and proof of age will be verified with the details provided in the registration form. Where any information and/or any document provided by a participant at any point in time prior to the race is found to be falsified, participation of the said athlete shall be withheld for a period of 14 days until a reasonable explanation for the same can be provided by the athlete. If the athlete is unable to provide a reasonable explanation within the 14 day period, the registration will be cancelled with no refund of registration fees.

The registration form and the right to participate in the event and the rights and benefits available to the participant is at the sole discretion of Enduro Sports Goa. The actual participant alone shall be entitled to the rights and benefits arising out of such confirmation of participation.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA AND MINIMUM AGE LIMITS

Anyone under the age of 18 years requires the event indemnity form to be signed by a parent/guardian. If the parents are unable to attend the event, the chosen guardian must provide a signed letter of authority from the parents of the athlete, along with photo ID proof of the parent and the guardian attached. Failure to provide the above mentioned documents will result in immediate disqualification of the athlete from the event.

There is no upper age limit restriction for participation in Aquamoga 2026 - however, athletes above the age of 60 years to provide a medical fitness certificate for triathlon, aquathlon and long distances races of swimathon (5 km and 10 km). The minimum age limit for each race is determined as of 31.10.26 and is as follows:

ATHLETE CATEGORIES
All timed individual races at The Goa Swimathon 2026 will offer three competition categories:

Open+
Athletes must meet the minimum age and applicable eligibility requirements for their selected race distance. Each athlete may compete and be ranked in one competition category only.
The 250 m splash and dash swim is a non-timed, fun swim wherein all finishers will be awarded a medal and a certificate of completion. T-shirts, winner’s trophies and timing certificates will not be issued for this swim.
Male and Female Categories
Male and Female athletes will compete within their respective age-group categories, as specified in the table below. Three Male and three Female winners will be declared in each age group. In addition, an Overall Fastest Male and Overall Fastest Female will be declared for each timed race distance, based on the fastest overall finishing times irrespective of age group.
Open+ Category
Open+ is a dedicated competitive category for transgender, non-binary and other gender-diverse athletes. For the purposes of competition classification and awards at The Goa Swimathon 2026, transgender, non-binary and gender-diverse athletes will compete in the Open+ category. Open+ is not available to cisgender male or female athletes as an alternative competition category.
Eligibility is based on self-declaration. Enduro Sports Goa will not ask athletes to disclose medical or surgical transition status, hormone use, medication or stage of transition to establish eligibility for Open+.
For the 2026 edition, all eligible Open+ athletes will compete within one overall Open+ category for their selected race distance, irrespective of age group. The minimum age requirements for each race distance remain applicable. This applies independently to the 1 km, 2 km, 5 km and 10 km races. The following podium positions will be awarded for each distance:

Open+ athletes will receive official timing, published results, podium recognition and trophies as part of the event's competitive structure. As participation grows, Enduro Sports Goa will work towards introducing age-group Open+ categories in future editions of The Goa Swimathon.
Athletes with Disabilities
Athletes with disabilities will participate within their applicable competition category, Male, Female or Open+, and will remain eligible for all applicable age-group, overall and category awards.
In addition, the fastest participating athlete with a disability within each applicable competition category and eligible race distance, where applicable, will be specially felicitated based on official race timing.This recognition is supplementary to the official competition categories and will not alter overall, age-group or Open+ rankings and results.
All winners and recipients of special recognition will receive trophies only.

RACE CHANGE POLICY
Requests to switch between races will be entertained between 1st and 31st October 2026 only . Kindly note that a new race registration will require to be made by the participant and the initial ticket will be refunded in full (excluding processing charges) on confirmation of the new registration.
Competition-category changes may be requested before registrations close on 31 October 2026, or before the earlier closure of registrations if all available slots are filled. Requests to change category after registration closes will be considered only in cases of genuine registration errors or exceptional circumstances, subject to approval by Enduro Sports Goa. Competition-category changes will not be permitted on race day.
WITHDRAWAL, TRANSFER & REFUND POLICY
This refund policy outlines the terms and conditions for refunds for participants in The Goa Swimathon 2026.
1. General Refund Principles

All withdrawal and refund requests must be submitted in writing via the respective form

Refunds will be processed to the original method of payment whenever possible
-
Processing fees (e.g., credit card fees, registration platform fees) are generally non-refundable
-
Refund amounts may be subject to administrative fees
2. Participant-Initiated Withdrawals/Cancellations
Withdrawal requests must be received through the withdrawal form below during the following time frames in order to be eligible for a partial refund (excluding processing charges and taxes):
Participants are eligible for a partial refund of their registration fee based on the timeline below, after deducting applicable processing and administrative charges.

45 days or more prior to event: On or before 30 September 2026 – 100% of registration fee

Between 15–45 days prior to event: 1 October-31 October 2026 – 30% of registration fee

Less than 14 days prior to event: 1 November–14 November 2026 – Refund not applicable

No-shows: Refund not applicable
3. Participant-to-Participant Transfers and Deferrals (Transfer to Future Event)

In general, transfers of registration to another individual and deferrals will not be permitted. These options may be offered in exceptional circumstances, at the sole discretion of Enduro Sports Goa, and involve an administrative fee of INR 500. This option is not guaranteed.

Registrations will only be deferred or carried forward to a future event in the case of event cancellation.
4. Event Cancellation by Organizers
In the unlikely event that The Goa Swimathon 2026 is delayed, modified or cancelled for any reason including, but not limited to, causes of force majeure or elements (including,but not limited to, wind, heavy seas, rain, hurricane) earthquake, terrorist acts, epidemic, pandemics, fire, war, public disaster, flood, unavoidable accident, or any other cause beyond the will of the organizers of the event, the following will apply:

Option 1 - Partial Refund:

Participants will receive a 70% refund of their registration fee, minus any non-recoverable processing fees already incurred by the organizers

Option 2 - Deferral to Future Event:

Participants may be offered the option to defer their registration to the next available edition of Aquamoga at no additional cost

The specific options available will be communicated clearly to all registered participants in the event of a cancellation.
5. Event Postponement/Rescheduling by Organizers
In the event that The Goa Swimathon 2026 is postponed or rescheduled, the following will apply:

Original Registration Valid: All original registrations will automatically be transferred to the new date.

Refund Option: Participants who are unable to attend on the new date will be eligible for a full refund of their registration fee, minus any non-recoverable processing fees, if requested within 15 days of the postponement announcement. After this period, standard withdrawal policies (Section 2) will apply.
6. Medical Exemptions

Requests for refunds due to medical reasons (e.g., injury, illness) must be accompanied by a valid doctor's note or medical certificate.

Such requests will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. While efforts will be made to accommodate genuine medical emergencies, refunds are not guaranteed, especially within 15 days of the Event date. An administrative fee may apply.
7. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, please visit your account on the Nextlap.in site and proceed accordingly.
8. Refund Processing Time
Please allow 7-10 business days for refund requests to be processed from the date of approval. The actual crediting of funds to your account may depend on your bank or credit card company.
9. Amendments to Policy
Enduro Sports Goa reserves the right to amend this Refund Policy at any time. Any changes will be posted on the official website (www.endurosportsgoa.com) and will be effective immediately upon posting.
